Day is Dying

And it's beautiful.  This sunset closes a day of blessings:  being paid to plant flowers, teaching, seeing students progress, having my husband home for supper, walking with a friend in the cool of the evening, seeing amazing in the Bible things I hadn't noticed before.

What are the delights from your day?

  1. I was surprised to find the nicest spinach growing in my garden where I had not planted it. Apparently it grew from seed scattered by a plant last year. I'm so happy about that. I was feeling bad that none had been planted in my greenhouse while I was gone. But I get some anyway, the freshest spinach around.

The brightest yellow Goldfinches have been at the feeder today too. There is a vase of Poet's Narcissus near the couch. (You have some photos of them. They are like tiny white daffodils, golden centers with a red edging.) And there is rhubarb crisp in the oven.
